# Refund & Return Policy

We want you to be confident about every order from Autobox Tool Works. 
If something isn't right, we'll make it right. Read below for details.

## 30-Day Return Window

You may return most items within **30 days of delivery** for a full refund 
of the product price. No restocking fee. The 30 days starts on the day 
the package is delivered to your address (per carrier tracking).

## What Can Be Returned

Items eligible for return:
- Unused products in original packaging
- Products that don't fit your machine (we recommend confirming fit with 
  us before ordering — message us a photo and we'll verify)
- Products with manufacturing defects
- Items that arrived damaged in transit

Items NOT eligible for return:
- Used or installed products (light test-fitting on a clean machine is fine)
- Products missing original packaging, parts, or accessories
- Custom-cut or modified items
- Items returned after 30 days from delivery

## Defective or Damaged Items

If your item arrives defective, damaged, or different from what you 
ordered, **contact us within 7 days** of delivery. We'll cover return 
shipping and either send a replacement or issue a full refund — your 
choice. Please include photos of the damage or defect when you email us.

## How to Start a Return

1. Email us at **[support@autoboxtoolworks.com]** with:
   - Your order number
   - Which item(s) you want to return
   - Reason for return (helps us improve)
   - Photos if the item is damaged or defective
2. We'll respond within 1 business day with a return authorization 
   and shipping address.
3. Pack the item securely in original packaging when possible.
4. Ship the item back using a tracked carrier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx).
5. Once we receive and inspect the item, we'll issue your refund.

## Return Shipping Costs

- **Defective or wrong item shipped**: We pay return shipping (we'll send 
  you a prepaid label).
- **Change of mind, doesn't fit, no longer needed**: Customer pays 
  return shipping.
- **Damaged in transit**: We pay return shipping. Save the original 
  packaging and photograph the damage before returning.

## Refund Processing Time

Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Refund processed within **3 business days**
- Refund sent to your original payment method
- Your bank or card issuer may take **5-10 additional business days** 
  to post the refund to your account

You'll receive an email confirmation when the refund is processed.

## Exchanges

The fastest way to get the right item is to:
1. Return the original item for a refund (following the steps above).
2. Place a new order for the correct item.

This is faster than waiting for an exchange because we don't have to 
hold inventory while your return is in transit.

If the new item costs more, we'll send you a separate payment link. 
If it costs less, the difference is included in your refund.

## Order Cancellations

You can cancel an order for any reason **before it ships**. Email us 
immediately at [support@autoboxtoolworks.com] with your order number.

Once an order has shipped, it follows our standard return policy.

## Lost or Stolen Packages

If tracking shows your package was delivered but you didn't receive it:
1. Check with neighbors and other household members
2. Wait 24 hours (sometimes packages are marked delivered early)
3. Contact the carrier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx) to file a claim
4. If unresolved within 5 business days, contact us — we'll work with 
   you to resolve the situation

## Wrong Address Provided

If a package is returned to us because the shipping address you provided 
was incorrect or undeliverable, we'll refund the product cost but not 
the original shipping cost. We can re-ship to a corrected address for a 
reduced shipping fee.

## International Returns

We currently ship only within the United States. International returns 
do not apply.
